After successfully undergoing surgery in late November, Augusto “Tanquinho” accepted an invitation to serve as color commentator at the Copa Pódio tournament to go down on the coming 17th in Porto Alegre. The teacher at Soul Fighters team will commentate live during the break between matches and rounds during the initial stage.
The athlete will double up with another presenter, who is to be named by the promoters within the coming days. The idea is to invite a presenter who has a strong link to Jiu, Jitsu, to assure a dynamic spectacle.
For this latest challenge Tanquinho showed enthusiasm: “I feel quite well-prepared, since I’ve studied the games of all the participants while preparing for competition,” said the submission ace, who is already undergoing physiotherapy for his spine.
Soul Fighters will be represented by GFTeam’s Vinícius Marinho.
