The world’s greatest Jiu-Jitsu stars are back in the most coveted center of the sport on the planet. With top tier competitors confirmed, the AJP Abu Dhabi Grand Slam Professional Tour 2023 is gearing up for a grand event. The tournament will be held May 5-7 at the state-of-the-art Mubadala Arena in the heart of Abu Dhabi’s capital city.
The championship will begin with the children’s keys on May 5, and then host the experienced masters on the following day, May 6. On the last day, May 7, the black belts will close the competition with the promise of exciting combats and the consecration of the champions.
Among the most well-known athletes are Lucas Protásio and Julia Alves, leaders of the 2021-2022 ranking, who have already guaranteed their place in the event.
To repeat the feat in the 2022-2023 season, they will have to overcome other heavyweights who are hunting for the prize, such as Yuri Hendrix, Zayed Alkatiri, Alexa Yanes, Rose el Sharouni, Catriel Oliveira, Uanderson Ferreira, Thiago Macedo, Hiago George, Ingridd Alves, Leonardo Mario, Renato Cardoso, and Yatan Bueno.
