The card for UFC Rio is starting to take shape and three matchups have already been announced by the promotion, each involving a local fighter. The event is set for August 27, at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro.
Previously reported by GRACIEMAG.com, the rematches between Anderson Silva and Yushin Okami and Forrest Griffin and Maurício Shogun have been made official.
The third bout confirmed pits lightweight Thiago Tavares against Spencer Fisher. Neither athlete has been having great results, so a win is of the utmost importance.
Ticekts go on sale in May. UFC president Dana White promises to announce the complete card by June 16, so stay tuned to GRACIEMAG.com to find out about the matchups in the works as they happen.
