UFC 188: Werdum catches Velasquez with a guillotine choke for the undisputed heavyweight title

Fabricio Werdum fulfilled his promise and defeated Cain Velasquez this Saturday at UFC 188, in Mexico City.

With the guillotine choke on round 3, the Brazilian is now the new undisputed UFC heavyweight champion.

Werdum controlled all three rounds despite some few good shots by Velasquez in the early moments.

Clearly more tired than the opponent, Velasquez tried to take the match to the ground but was caught on Werdum’s guillotine and had to tap.
