Alan Belcher isn’t afraid of Rousimar Toquinho or his lethal ankle locks. But his courage is far from being stubbornness, as the Jiu-Jitsu masters teach, and the American black belt shored up his training camp for the May 5 matchup at UFC on Fox 3 in New Jersey.
As reported by our contributor Diego Marcello, on the 16th Belcher welcomed in Coach Daniel Moraes, a two-time black belt world champion (2003/2004). “Daniel came to coordinate the ground training, to get Belcher as comfortable as possible if the fight goes to the ground,” explains Diego Marcello.
SHARP NO-GI SWEEP
Moraes also invited two monsters of the footlock to help out at the training camp: Top Brothers and Atos representative Davi Ramos, as well as ADCC 2011 champion Dean Lister.
Take a look at Belcher and Daniel Moraes’s technique in the following video. First the Brazilian teaches a sweep from open guard. Next, Alan teaches a sweep.
Once you’re done with that, let us know: will Belcher manage to tame the relentless Rousimar Toquinho?
