Ever wondered what it would be like to have Anderson Silva’s fists whizzing around your face?
If the rematch between Chael Sonnen and Anderson really does go down on Superbowl weekend in 2012, as Sonnen hopes for and Dana White looks kindly on, UFC fans may get a chance to watch the fight in the movie theater, eating popcorn, and watching all the action in 3D.
Today, the UFC announced a partnership with movie distributor Cinedigm Digital, which will broadcast the UFC life in 3D over pay-per-view. The deal is for four shows per year, starting – if all goes to plan – on February 4, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“By partnering with Cinedigm, we’re taking the UFC viewing experience to a whole new level. For the first time ever, fight fans can watch a UFC Pay-Per-View card in 3D at theaters across the country,” said White. The new viewing experience shouldn’t take long in reaching other countries with the same technology.
