Bullying only afflicts those children, teenagers or adults who aren’t sure about themselves physically, who feel vulnerable to getting pushed around or humiliated. If they weren’t so reticent, no one would bother them.
Brazilian black belt Lucas Lima of MG academy proved this point last weekend, not letting his girth diminish his confidence and going all out on the mats.
It was thus, through Jiu-Jitsu, that he found out his weight was not his enemy, but a powerful ally.
Do as Lucas did, and don’t wait to lose weight before starting to train. Train and let the benefits of proper eating and self-confidence make the change in you.
And thanks for the lesson, Lucas.
