Back in 2016, Graciemag had the pleasure of having Rubens Cobrinha over to produce its December cover story. His accomplishments from the aughts had already safely put him among the legends of the sport, with four consecutive world titles in the gi — plus two in no-gi — between 2006 and 2009. His final no-gi world title had been claimed in 2012.
Amazingly, the year after the cover story, Cobrinha returned to the IBJJF Worlds arena to compete again amongst adults — and won. To put it mildly, this is no ordinary competitor.
