BJJ is as global now as it has ever been, and the IBJJF’s Seoul Open is proof. Held in early December in South Korea, the tournament had a Polish black-belt as its biggest standout.
Adam Wardzinski, a competitor from Checkmat, fought in the ultra-heavy division and faced Christopher Iligan in the final. With his signature trap from the hook guard, Wardzinski swept and got on top, and from this advantageous position, he adjusted the choke that gave him the gold medal.
