Jungle Fight’s promoters again could pat themselves out on the back for a job well done in São Paulo, having introduced the Brazilian domestic scene to new talent and showcased good Jiu-Jitsu in the main events.
Jungle Fight 42 featured eight fights this Saturday at Pacaembu gymnasium, with Ivan Batman and Edmilson Kevin being the highlights, in the main event and co-main event, respectively.
Batman didn’t need to sweat too much in tapping out Giovane Brutus and going through to the second phase of the lightweight GP. He landed strikes through the guard, passed, mounted and took the back, just like the Jiu-Jitsu primer teaches. Now he needs just one more victory before getting his shot at the divisional belt.

Now Kevin overcame Henrique “Rasputin” Gomes in an electrifying fight. With both fighters having their good moments, Henrique nearly ended the fight by submission in the first round. IN the second, Kevin went all out and landed a kick full on to the face of his opponent. With a few follow-up strikes, Rasputin had to give up.
