This year’s European IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship is just five days away. One of the event’s top performers in recent years has been Nicholas Meregali, so today we’re bringing you a reminder of one of his many impressive matches.
While still a brown-belt, in 2016, this current world champion faced Adam Wardzinski, a fearsome fighter around Europe. In order to win gold against such a tough opponent in their heavyweight final, Meregali took the back, stabilized the position and used pressure to achieve a lapel choke.
