Bellator 202, held in Oklahoma this Friday, was not the best for BJJ fighters.
The first one in the cage on the main card was two-time world champion Léo Leite. The black-belt in BJJ and judo achieved a good transition at the start, but began being dominated halfway into round one. This continued in the following rounds, and Chris Honeycutt was deemed the winner by the judges.
In the main event, Talita Treta was unable to let her game loose, and wound up dominated by featherweight champion Julia Budd. After two rounds that didn’t look too good for the Brazilian, Budd landed a good combination of kick and punch that felled Talita. After a few more blows landed, the referee was forced to step in.
