In 2012, the sharp tongue Irish was still an unknown newcomer, and decided to test his ground game in an IBJJF No-Gi tournament, the European in London.
In the tournament, Conor crashed shortly with a member of the Gracie family, the young Kywan Gracie Behring, in the purple belt medium category.
