Former WEC fighter Wagnney Fabiano (Nova União) has been confirmed to make his Bellator debut joining his teammate Marlon Sandro in the 2012 featherweight GP. Sandro fought in last year’s GP, coming up short against Pat Curran in the tournament final.
Now Wagnney holds a record of 14 wins and three losses, and he has not fought since submitting to Joseph Benavidez via guillotine choke in November 2010 at WEC 52.
Also in the running for next year’s GP are Ronnie Mann and Daniel Straus. Bellator’s promoters are also putting together bantamweight, welterweight, middleweight and lightweight tournaments for next year.
