It’s fully confirmed, Wanderlei Silva will face Chris Leben at UFC 132 on July 2 in Las Vegas. The fighter is already training hard for the challenge and will spare no effort in training, even heading to train with Coach Rafael Cordeiro and his crew at Kings MMA.
Wand spoke with GRACIEMAG.com regarding his impending fight with Leben.
“He’s a valiant fellow. He comes at you. He’s different from the other guys who have fought me; guys who run away. I think he’ll accept going toe to toe,” he says.
The“Axe Murderer” expects to have a fight that will satisfy even the most demanding of fans. After all, they miss him, as Wand hasn’t stepped into the ring since February 2010, when he defeated Michael Bisping.
“I don’t want just a win or good performance. I’m preparing for a bloody fight,” he forewarns.
Regarding the hullabaloo about the rematch with Vitor Belfort that didn’t end up happening, Wanderlei promises to address the subject.
“Everyone will be able to find out all about that exclusively on wandfc.com. Soon I’m going to post a video where I talk much more in depth about my next fight and I’ll touch on that too,” he guarantees.
