Before they leave for New York, where they will fight at UFC 208 this Saturday, Anderson Silva and Ronaldo Jacaré welcomed the press for a collective training session at XGYM, in Rio de Janeiro.
Besides practicing boxing and grappling, and doing some physical preparation, they set aside a little time at the end to entertain the kids from a social project.
On one side, two-time absolute world champion Jacaré. On the other, a brave orange-belt. And in the middle, coordinating the action, Anderson Silva acting as referee.
“I’m the ref! I’ve always wanted to be a BJJ ref, you know? To use that thing on the hand,” said the former UFC champion, meaning a referee’s armlet.
After a back-and-forth sweep battle, the youth took Jacaré’s back and choked him out. See it all in the video.
