Fabrício Werdum needed just over a minute to do what no one in the last ten years has managed to: beat Fedor Emelianenko.
Werdum said several times in the lead up to the fight that the path to victory would be to use Jiu-Jitsu, and that proved to be the case. With an armbar from the triangle, the black belt handed the Russian his second career loss at the 1:09 min mark. The fight took place this Saturday at the Strikeforce event in California.
