For the first time in its four-year history, the American Cup (from April 30 to May 1) will feature a team contest between schools signed up for the San Jose, California, tournament.
With the news, each athlete to place will earn points for his academy, just like at IBJJF tournaments.
The team contest will award trophies to the top three schools in each of five categories: children, juveniles, adults, masters & seniors, and female.
The 4th American Cup will also reward the school taking the most kids to the competition with a plaque.
Each athlete signed up will receive a tournament T-shirt and copy of GRACIEMAG. All the kids who compete will receive medals!
