At the 2012 Jiu-Jitsu World Championship the female black belt finals materialized on Saturday, with at least one big-news result. Marina Ribeiro defeated Kyra Gracie by a score of 2-0 and headed into the featherweight final against her CheckMat teammate Michelle Nicoloni.
The finals held on Sunday, the favorites won without too many surprises, but with a plethora of move variations and plenty of technique. Check out who took gold in the weight groups in the order that they took place. Gabrielle Garcia was one of the big standouts, routing her opponent by 19-0 and capturing her sixth World Championship gold medal.
